Sorry it has been forever!
Looking at the Christmas tree
I didn't know how many people were reading Kane's blog (i.e. looking at pictures on Kane's blog because Mom doesn't write much) unit I went too long without posting. Suddenly I became the target of a lot of frustration over no new Kane pics! So, without further adieu, here you go!
We've been a busy family the past couple of months. We celebrated Kane's first Christmas, took two trips to Chicago, weathered the first big snow storm of the season, hosted a Costa Rican Exchange teacher for three weeks, got sick, got better, got sick again, got better again...you get the picture.
On a controversial note, we are in the market for a minivan. :) Minivans are not evil, as I once believed. They are more spacious and get better gas mileage than your average SUV or Crossover. I think, after giving it a lot of thought, that buying a minivan is simply acknowledging that a portion of your life is over, and a new chapter has begun. We're ready for that change, now. If my past self would have anything to say about it, though, it would be very disappointed.
Kane is wonderful-he is six months old now-holding his own bottle, eating some solid foods, sitting up on his own, laughing all the time, eating his toes, picking up anything and everything-and getting ready to crawl. He gets so frustrated when he can't get where he wants to go. He is a nosy, little busy-body! As I type he is ignoring the multitude of toys in front of him to try and press keys on the laptop.
I promise I'll try to update more soon! We wish everyone well!
